Title contenders Connaught “A” blew visitors Shropham away by 10-0 on points and 97-29 on shots. Mike Parsons,  Richard Harrison & Mike Minshull won by 31-5 against Ann Umpleby’s triple in the evenings biggest win while Di Quadling, Sylvia Parsons & Lee Fallows added a 27-6 win against Richard Broad’s triple. In a local derby Harling Unicorns won 10-0 away to Harling Griffins. In the Coastal Cup Woodbastwick Eagles won 16-2 at home to Bradwell Dynamos, Hemsby Harvesters won 10-8 away to Hemsby Beachcombers and Woodbastwick Owls won 10-8 at Bradwell Robins. SNL action saw Horsford win 8-2 at home to East Harling with Richard Dix, Carol Aggas and John Aggas winning 17-7 and Vic Webster’s triple winning 17-12. In the Waveney League leaders Broome lost 6-3 at Bradwell. Close behind them are Wortwell who beat Kessingland by 6-3. Haddiscoe also won by 6-3, at home to Ilketshall. The Afternoon Winter League saw a surprise result as bottom of the table Harling Hawks beat second placed Thetford by 6-4 with Jean Horne, Chris Jones and Ted Jones beating Peter Scarborough’s triple 19-8.
