The first leg of the latest challenge match between Norfolk Over 60’s and Cambs Seniors was held at March Indoor Bowls Club on Thursday. A good final session for the home side saw them snatch a 25-23 points win despite Norfolk Over 60’s scoring 194 shots against the home sides total of 168. Four of Norfolk’s triples won two games from their three played. Di Quadling, David Quadling & Andy George won 10-8 and 12-2, Graham Atter, David Kerslake & Selwyn Goldsmith won by 13-1 & 12-7, Val Vardy, Billie Barker & Mel Barker won 7-6 & 16-5 and Nigel James, David Chadwick & Jane James won by 9-6 & 12-4. Four bowlers made their debut for Norfolk Over 60s in this match. They were Tracy Salisbury, Martin Salisbury, Les Webber and Martin Douglas. The second leg will be held at Hingham Sports Centre on the 5th March.
