The six heats of the City of Norwich League Singles Championships were held last week across four venues with players battling to earn a place on finals night. Di Quadling of First Bus was the winner at Thorpe Marriott while a second heat at the same venue saw Alan Cheal of Windows declared the winner. Dennis Seaton of Horsford Blue won at the Heroes venue at St Faiths while a second heat, also at St Faiths, was won by ex Horsford Heroes star and now Windows regular Mark Tuttle. Mick Dale of Horsford Gold won at Jarrolds while Dave Higgins of Jarrolds came out on top at Horsford Gold’s venue. The best runner-up across the six heats was Ray Ayres of Horsford Gold who will therefore be the substitute for the Finals Night.
