East Tuddenham's unbeaten run ends at Hevingham

Bure League action saw East Tuddenham’s unbeaten run come to an end at Hevingham where the home side won on three mats for an 8-2 victory. Hevingham enjoyed a solid first half with Teresa Goldsmith, Joan Costello (pictured) & Selwyn Goldsmith beating Jean Woods, Robert Howlett & Melly Woods 21-9 and Pat Williamson, Marjorie Hall & David Bunn beating Chrissie Turner, John Turner & Simon Willies 17-9. After the break Betty Cox, Aleck Haynes & David Sharpe guaranteed a home win by beating Gilly Amos, Gerald Potter & Robin Amos 19-16 while Elaine Willies, Joe Brown & Chris Mann earned the visitors their two points with an 11-7 win against Alan Bunn, Chris Brooks & Maurice Kemp. Horsford Heroes’ Richard Hart, David Crosby & Vic Webster opened with a 26-7 win against Thorpe Marriott’s Margaret McPherson, Richard Perkins & Kath Frost but George Clarke’s triple hit back for Marriott with a 16-14 win against Jane James’ triple. The second half though belonged to Horsford Heroes as an 18-9 win for Chris Woodhouse’s triple and a 15-4 win for John Aggas earned Heroes an 8-2 home win. Horsford BC have been cut adrift at the foot of the table after their sixth straight defeat of the season came at Thorpe Marriott. The home side amassed 91 shots against just 23 and won 10-0 with their biggest win of 30-5 achieved by Jenny Walker, Ted Redwood & John Jarvis. Tony Turner’s triple won 23-4, Kath Frost’s triple won 21-4 and George Clarke’s triple won 17-10.
