East Tuddenham powered their way to a 19-5 points win in their Bure Cup first leg match at Horsford Heroes which prompted Heroes to concede the semi-final tie without playing the second leg. Chrissie Turner, John Turner & Simon Willies won all their games by 10-3, 6-2 & 7-2 as did Elaine Willies, Joe Brown & Melly Woods by 7-6, 5-2 & 9-1. Horsford’s best triple on the night were Mally Kemp, Carol Kemp & Chris Woodhouse who drew 5-5 in their first game against Chris Mann’s triple and then beat Robin Amos 8-4 in their second before losing their last game. It was a disappointing result for Horsford Heroes who had lost to East Tuddenham in the Bure Cup final last season but held Tuddenham to a 12-12 draw at St Faiths in the first leg.
