Harling got their South Norfolk League season off to a great start with a 10-0 home win against Saxlingham Nethergate. Lorretta Smith, Gwen Messent & Mike Tarrent won by 26-4 against Robert Howlett’s triple and Gary Francis, Chris Jones & Ian Beckford also got in among the shots with a 23-5 win against Paul Hook. Laurie Harris & Colin Hayman’s triples also won for Harling. In their second match Harling pushed Watton Expendables all the way in a tight match at Watton with the home side notching up a narrow 6-4 on points, 53-30 on shots, victory. John Jeffery, Chris Willies & Kacy Suffolk saw the home side over the line with a 19-9 win against Mike Tarrent’s triple backed up by a 14-12 win for B Smith, Andrew Taylor-Balls & George Hume against Ian Beckford’s Harling triple. Harling replied with a 13-12 win by Laurie Harris’ triple against Simon Willies’ triple and a 16-8 win for Nigel Battley’s triple against Chloe Suffolk’s triple. Breckland League games saw Wymondham win 8-2 at home to Thetford with Jack Pye’s triple winning 33-2 and Jon Sparham’s triple winning 33-4. A much closer game saw Steve Easter, Debbie Sparham & AJ Pye beat Neil Thomas’ triple by just 20-18. Thetford’s win of 16-13 was earned by Peter Harvey, Kacy Suffolk & Chloe Suffolk who beat Hayley Osborne, John Jeffery & Chris Mann. Harling took all ten points at home to Connaught “B” with George Hume’s triple winning 32-8 and Colin Hayman’s triple winning 28-8.
