It’s a proud moment for popular Wymondham SMBC bowler and NCSMBA Assistant Competition Secretary John Jeffery who has been presented with an award in recognition of 15 year’s valued and dedicated service to the Ministry of Defence. The award was presented by Air Command and signed by Air Chief Marshall Harv Smyth CB OBE DFC ADC Chief of the Air Staff. John popped into Norfolk Over 60’s Squad day at Hingham to show his award to his many bowling friends and stayed to take part in the afternoon session. It was another big turn-out for the ever popular Norfolk Over 60’s Squad days, organised by NCSMBA Membership Secretary Teresa Goldsmith, with around seventy bowlers attending to play on the ten county mats. On Friday 7th August a coachload of Norfolk Over 60's bowlers will depart Hingham for a long weekend in Yorkshire where they will play Arthur Jackson's Select over two days at Easingwold before returning to Norfolk on Monday 10th August.
