The Norfolk Over 60’s will meet this Thursday 14th May for a normal Squad Day. This will be the last Squad Day before their next match away to Kent Invicta on Saturday 23rd May. Due to the following information that has been received from the HPFA the Norfolk Over 60’s following Squad Day will not be held until Thursday 4th June. “Hingham Sports Hall will be closed to all hirers from Monday 18th May 2026 until it reopens on Thursday 28 May 2026 for the installation of the new Pulastic flooring by Reflex Sports. These dates are an extension of the original dates announced as the HPFA Committee have agreed to add an optional protective 'clear-coat' to the surface.
I can only apologise, once again, to those of you who intended to book the hall for Monday 25th, Tuesday 26th or Wednesday 27th. Some of you will be aware of the sad news of the death of Richard 'Ricky' Clayton, who worked for many years in support of the Sports Centre & Social Club and whose daughter, Tracey Scent, is our booking manager. Hingham Sports Hall and Abraham's Bar & Clubhouse are hosting Ricky's wake on Thursday 28th May, in accordance with the family's wishes. The hall will be free for evening hire for Hingham Bowls and Badminton as usual. All normal bookings will resume from Friday 29th May. Please accept the sincere thanks of the Committee for your understanding and support during this period. I apologise once again for all the inconvenience and upset caused by recent events. We are all looking forward to resuming normal service and seeing all our sports back in the hall.”
