The NCSMBA is saddened to learn of the death of former member Joe Brown who passed away on Friday aged 93. Joe played for Costessey for many years in the City of Norwich League as well as for Kirby Bedon in the Bure and Tens Leagues and later on for East Tuddenham in the Bure. Joe was also a valued member of the Norfolk County Squad and of the Norfolk Over 60s Squad. He was a member of the rink that won the Norfolk County Fours title in 2011-12 and was runner-up in the same event in 2009-10. Joe was also a runner-up in the Norfolk County Mixed Fours in 2011-12 as well as a runner-up in the Norfolk County Triples in 2009-10. He will be remembered as a real gentleman of the sport and an excellent bowler. The NCSMBA would like to express their sincere condolences to Shirley and their family on their sad loss.
