Wonder Woods rolls over Deaf Sports

Summer League Division One action saw Bob Carter move top of the table with a 6-2 away win. Nigel Willard, John Turner & Melvin Woods won both their games at Deaf Sports beating Robin Amos’ triple 14-12 and Laura Hawksworth by 22-8. Simon Willies’ triple added a 15-12 win against Laura Hawksworth while Robin Amos scored Deaf Sports only win  beating Simon Willies 12-10. Bob Carter collected a maximum 8-0 home win against Thorpe Marriott. John Turner, James Forster & Gary Best won 16-6 against Tony Turner and 19-7 against George Clarke while Jason Woods, Simon Willies & David Lamb beat George Clarke 18-6 and then beat John Jarvis 16-9. In Division Two leaders Horsford Heroes slipped to a surprise 6-2 home defeat against Watton despite Nigel James, Carol Kemp & Vic Webster storming to a 24-3 win against Roger Braham. It proved to be the home side’s only win though as Will Hoggan’s triple won by 15-14 & 20-9 and Roger Braham won his other game 14-12. Forncett are second with two games in hand after an 8-0 home win against Shropham in which Peter Lock’s triple won by 20-10 & 18-7. Hingham won 5-3 at Windows where Keith Thomas won by 30-6. This was an improvement on their result three days earlier when they were beaten 6-2 at Watton.
