BURE
Bob Carter have retained the Bure League title after winning 8-2 away to Halvergate. Alfie Woods, Morgan Warnes & Jack Pye won by 24-12 against Robbie Lamb’s triple while Gary Best’s triple won 14-7 and Jason Woods’ triple won by 16-7 to make it six wins out of six. Kerry Greenacre, Sue Fox & Keith Cooke were the only home triple to win, they beat Melvyn Woods’ triple 30-5. The only game left to play in the Bure League section of the season will see Halvergate entertaining Watton Expendables, this will decide which of them finish in the runners-up spot. Starting in January the Bure Cup begins in its new league system format with all Bure sides playing each other home and away again.
CITY OF NORWICH
First Bus are up to third place in the City of Norwich League after a 9-5 home win against leaders Thorpe Marriott. It was only Thorpe Marriott’s second defeat of the season and kept First Bus firmly among the title contenders. Lianne Mills’ triple scored the only win for the home side beating Derek Sheldrake’s triple 14-6 and that result secured the six match points for her side as it took First Bus over the finishing line with an overall 42-39 shots win. Bob Oatway’s triple was the only other First Bus triple to take anything from the match drawing 11-11 against Brian Turner’s triple. Thorpe Marriott won the other two games with Andy George’s triple beating Jane James 9-5 and Tony Turner’s triple beating Glennis Holmes triple 13-12. Second placed Horsford Heroes took advantage of Thorpe Marriott’s slip as they kept up their title challenge with a 12-2 win against Horsford Blue. Vic Webster’s triple won 22-4, Chris Woodhouse won 20-6 and David Crosby won by 15-7. Other results saw Horsford Gold beat British Rail 12-2 while Costessey won 12-2 at bottom of the table Jarrolds.

South Norfolk League leaders Hempnall achieved a tight 6-4 away win at Connaught where both teams won two games each. Three of the games were tight but a 19-10 win by Hempnall’s Ken O’Leary, Gavin Gray & Jack Gray clinched the two match points.
BRECKLAND
Breckland League action saw league leaders Wymondham make it eight wins from eight games with an 8-2 away win at Shropham. Chris Mann’s triple won 25-7, AJ Pye’s triple won 18-7 and Jack Pye’s triple won by 26-9. Ever improving Shropham collected two points courtesy of a 15-14 win by Chris Bailey, Elaine Aberdeen & Andy Rawnsley against Steve Easter, Jack Marshall & Debbie Sparham. Connaught “B” edged their way to a 6-4 home win against Harling with total shots in favour of the home side by just 58-56. Winning home triples were Kathy Arthurton, Mick Utting & Julie Bruiges who won 17-8 and Annabelle Sopp, Val Hambling & David Flatt who won by 20-13. An even closer match at Forncett saw the home team win by just 59-58 on shots, 6-4 on points, against visitors Thetford. Gill Coleman, Kevin Noble & Mark Watson clinched the match points with a 21-11 win.
