Defending Bure League champions Bob Carter collected a solid 8-2 away win at Hevingham. It was an impressive performance by England internationals Morgan Warnes and Gary Best, who played without a number two, but still produced a 23-7 win despite only having four woods against the home triples six woods. Fellow England star AJ Brown was in inspired form as he skipped his triple to a 23-5 win. Carter’s third win was a close victory for another England bowler Jason Woods. The result of his game was in the balance up to the last end but Jason Woods’ triple got over the line winning by 15-12. Hevingham’s only win of the night was achieved by Pat Saunders, Teresa Goldsmith & Selwyn Goldsmith who won 18-14 to earn the home side their two points.
