Thorpe Marriott top the table

Thorpe Marriott are top of Division One after a 5-3 win at Diss. Sheila Redwood, Kath Frost & Tony Turner led the way with a 20-9 win and followed that with a 16-16 draw against Graham Mobbs’ triple. Thorpe Marriott are currently top of the table ahead of Wymondham who have a match in hand. Wymondham are just one point behind after an 8-0 away win at Diss. John Jeffery, Jon Sparham & Chris Mann beat Colin Smith, Ann Biddulph & Graham Mobbs 18-9 but it took a class performance by Mann to win the game. Chris Mann had several big shots to play during a game in which the home triple impressed and pressurized the visiting triple. Mann’s triple had a far easier time in their second match as they cruised to a 26-3 win against Terry Newby’s triple. Mary Fisher, Debbie Sparham & Jack Pye added wins of 14-11 & 15-9 to guarantee maximum points for title chasing Wymondham.  Horsford Heroes have opened up a twelve point lead at the top of Division Two ahead of second placed Forncett. Horsford collected an 8-0 away win at Windows where Jane James skipped her triple to wins of 16-7 & 10-9. Horford’s other wins were earned by Chris Woodhouse with a 16-7 win and Peter Fox with a 19-12 win.
