Thorpe Marriott top the City of Norwich League after a 10-4 home win against Windows with Gavin Gray, Jack Gray & Derek Sheldrake leading the way with a 16-4 win. Second placed Costessey also won with a 12-2 home win against Jarrolds as Eugene Gillan, Alan Bishop & Mike Ottaway produced a superb 18-2 win. Horsford Heroes took a maximum 14 points at home to Windows with Mally Kemp, Roger Frank & Chris Woodhouse winning 16-5. First Bus won 12-2 at British Rail where Mac Carman, David Sharpe & Steve Hall won 18-6. Mulbarton continue to struggle to find their feet since their welcome return to league action in the South Norfolk League. Their trip to Saxlingham Nethergate ended in a heavy 10-0 reverse as their more experienced opponents rattled off a big win to improve their league position. The biggest win of the match was a 29-7 result by John Torbit, Alex Thompson & Robert Howlett. Two other heavy wins were produced by Pat Meale, Margaret McCluskey & Ronny Copland with a 22-5 result and Steve Potter, David Beamish & Peter Cook who won by 20-4. Waveney League action saw Wortwell win 8-1 at home to Haddiscoe. Tony Oram & David Blundell won their games by 6-4 & 10-3, Ron Saitch & Chris Roberts won by 7-4 & 9-3 while the triple of Anita Lambert, David Elliott & Margaret Roll won 14-2 & 10-3. In the Winter Afternoon League Hingham won 6-4 at home to Harling with Mick Groombridge, Pat Groombridge & John Chapman winning 20-5. Forncett move top of the Breakland League after an 8-2 home win against Connaught in which Rebecca Humprey's triple won by 23-5. Thetford are now third after a 6-4 home win against Hingham, Peter Harvey's triple won 19-12 and Chloe Suffolk's triple won by 30-9.
