Wymondham clinched their eighth straight Breckland League title last night in the style that has become their hallmark. They accumulated 113 shots against 38 in their home match against Connaught “B” while scoring yet another 10-0 home win. The scores tell the usual story of what happens when Wymondham entertain Breckland League visitors. Billie Barker, Mark Linsdell & Chris Mann won 33-6, Roger Steele, John Jeffery & Jon Sparham won 32-12, Pat Saunders, Melvyn Barker & Debbie Sparham won 29-9 and Mary Fisher, Brian Saunders & Jack Pye won 19-11. Wymondham have now surpassed the seven year run of success that Connaught enjoyed in the Breckland League when they lifted the title from 1993-94 to 1999-2000. Wymondham still have a way to go yet to equal Connaught’s total Breckland League championship titles which stand at thirteen.
