Paul Pomeroy, Thomas Perris, James Smith & Sam Harvey won the ESMBA Open Fours event to earn themselves an England place in the World Championships in Aberdeen next year. They won a close final 6-4 against the Moffat-Toleman-Toleman-Smith rink. Norfolk bowlers Jack Pye, Gary Best and Chris Willies reached the quarter-final stages in their respective rinks before being eliminated. Karl Newby, Ryan Fox, Robbie Lamb & David Lamb of Halvergate failed to qualify for the main knock-out rounds but went on to win the Plate Competition beating S Buckett, A Kley, A McCrea & B Pay 9-6 in the final.
