Halvergate too hot to handle

In the Bure League Halvergate proved too hot to handle for Horsford BC as they inflicted a 10-0 defeat at Horsford. Ray Lamb, Karl Newby & Robbie Lamb led the way with a 28-9 win while Mike Tate, Ryan Fox & Simon Warnes won 23-7. David Lamb’s triple added a 14-10 win and Jason Woods’ triple won 17-11. Horsford Gold made it four wins in a row and now lead the City of Norwich League by eight points ahead of First Bus. Windows were their latest victims going down 14-0 on the tricky Horsford mats. All four games in the City League went pretty much as expected with Taverham’s travels resulting in an 11-3 defeat at Jarrolds and a 10-4 defeat at First Bus. Thorpe Marriott made it three wins from three games with a 12-2 away win at Horsford Heroes. Two results are in from the Breckland League this week, Hingham moved up the table to sixth place with an 8-2 win at Connaught “B” while Harling Griffins beat bottom team Shropham 10-0.
