Jamie Forster, Jason Woods & Gary Best of Bob Carter made it to the semi-finals of the ESMBA Open Triples at Tamworth IBC before losing by just 8-6 to Nicky Bartlett, Brandon Whittaker & Barry Hedges. Best’s triple finished top of their group and then won their round two match 12-9 against Steven Holdsworth. Another close game in the quarter-finals saw the Carter triple win once again beating Adam Smith’s triple 8-7 before they were finally eliminated by Barry Hedges’ triple. Both David Lamb’s triple and Ryan Fox’s triple qualified from their groups but Lamb went down by two shots against Jon Pitcher while Fox lost by just one shot against Barry Hedges. In the final Bartlett, Whittaker & Hedges defeated Ross Dunkley, Scott Follis & Michael Tandy by 15-7.
