It's tight at the top of Breckland League

Three teams are emerging as serious title contenders in the Breckland League. After years of total domination Wymondham seem to have a battle on their hands this season. Wymondham bounced back from their shock defeat at Connaught by storming to a 10-0 maximum home win against Banham. Debbie Sparham’s triple won 31-2, Jack Pye’s triple won 31-5, Jon Sparham’s triple won 30-6 and Melvin Barker’s triple won 30-9. Connaught “A” are just one point behind them after beating Thetford 9-1 to make it six wins from six games. Lee Fallows’ triple won 32-6, Bob Oatway’s triple won 22-4 and Richard Harrison’s triple won 13-11. Owen Secker’s triple were held to a 12-12 draw by Thetford’s Nigel Bevan, Peter Rawdanowicz and Kieran Suffolk. Carleton Rode made it five straight wins as they won two more home games by 10-0. Jill Davidson, Trish Taylor & Russell Davidson beat Roger Braham’s triple by 29-4 as Harling Unicorns were beaten. Morris Taylor, Karl Newby & Terry Newby won 25-6 against David Flatt’s Connaught “B” triple in another 10-0 win for the Rode. Shropham suffered a 10-0 home defeat against Harling Griffins where Val Easter, Jill Hayman & George Hume top-scored with a 21-5 win.
