The SMPT WORLD CUP takes place on Friday 23rd August at Falcon Bowling & Social Club where the draw has been kind to England. They will start as firm favourites to win Group “A” where they will face Sweden, Norway, Isle of Man and the United Arab Emirates. Ed Sawbridge captains England and with James Trott, Alex Klay & Mark Chittock with him in the team it would be a major shock if they did not cruise through the group. Ireland will be expected to win Group “B” with Wales likely to finish second. Belgium will be looking to upset the applecart while Scotland and the Rest of the World are likely to find the going tough.
