East Tuddenham bounce back in Bure

East Tuddenham bounced back after a couple of disappointing results by beating Thorpe Marriott 10-0 in the Bure League. The visitors struggled to compete as Billie Barker, Laura Hawksworth & Chris Mann won 23-12 and Elaine Willies, Melvyn Barker & Rob Howlett (pictured) won 22-5 in a one-sided first half. After the break the shots continued to mount up as Gillian Amos, Gerald Potter & Robin Amos won 22-9 while in the closest game of the night Albert Palgrave, John Turner & Simon Willies came out on top beating George Clarke’s triple 15-12. Horsford BC won 6-4 at home to Woodbastwick with a 21-6 win for Christine Bugg, Christine Walsgrove & John Bugg against Margaret Harman’s triple going a long way to securing the bonus points. Ted Griffin’s triple earned the other home win beating Willie Jefferies’ triple 15-8 while for the visitors Derek Sheldrake won 15-7 and Peter Jablonowski won 14-13. Tens League action saw Hevingham well beaten at Halvergate which has never proved to be a happy hunting ground for them. Both home pairs won with Ray Lamb & Ryan Fox beating Gill Bunn & David Sharpe 17-8 while Jackie Smith & David Lamb beat Lesley Crowe & David Bunn 19-6. A third win came for Halvergate in the triples as Keith Cooke’s triple beat Maurice Kemp 25-3 but a 16-11 win for Richard Moore, Chris Brookes & Alan Bunn against Robbie Lamb proved to be just a consolation victory as Halvergate collected a maximum 4-0 win. Its tightened up at the top of the City League where leaders Horsford Gold were beaten 10-4 at Deaf Sports. Horsford Heroes 14-0 home win against Horsford Blue moved them to just six points behind the leaders. In the City League Singles the qualifiers for Finals Night are S Andrews of Jarrolds, D Bunn of Framingham Earl, K Halford of Windows, A Brown & J Poynter of Costessey, J Pinchen of Thorpe Marriott, S Warnes of Horsford Gold and R Oatway of First Bus.
