Woodbastwick & Halvergate finish all square

Woodbastwick entertained Halvergate in the Bure League and a superb match ended in stalemate with a 5-5 draw. Woodbastwick came so close to victory after winning on two mats and drawing on another but a 19-7 win for Halvergate’s Ray Lamb, Josh Baxter & Jason Woods saw them claim the two bonus points and finish 54-53 ahead on shots. Margaret Capps, Dennis Lynes & Derek Sheldrake will be delighted with an 18-12 win against Jackie Smith, Nigel Willard & Keith Cooke while Brian Bunting, Tony Wright & Willie Jefferies beat Keith Baker, Robbie Lamb & David Lamb 16-11. Halvergate’s David Knights, Ryan Fox & Simon Warnes held the home triple of Mel Barrett, Elaine Cole & Peter Jablonowski to a 12-12 draw leaving both sides picking up five league points apiece. East Tuddenham made it three wins from their opening three games by beating Horsford Heroes 10-0. Horsford came close to taking something out this game by running the home side close in three of the four games and will be disappointed to have finished pointless. The big win for East Tuddenham was by Jean Woods, Laura Hawksworth & Chris Mann who beat Roger Frank’s triple 29-7. Elaine Willies, Rob Howlett & Melly Woods beat Chris Woodhouse by 11-10, Gillian Amos, Gerald Potter & Robin Amos beat Mick Dale 13-10 and Albert Palgrave, John Turner & Simon Willies beat John Aggas by 17-14. Keith Halford’s triple won Windows other game by 15-7. The visitors wins came courtesy of Ray Ayers & Terry Raisbury’s triples who won 12-7 and 17-15 respectively.
