Harling move top of Summer Afternoon League

The Summer Afternoon League is so tight that an 8-0 defeat for Watton against Harling saw them tumble down from top of the table to just one off the bottom. Stuart Langridge’s triple won 10-8, George Cody won 11-6, Len Deathridge won 11-9 and Derek Ryder won by 16-4. Hingham collected a maximum 8-0 home win against Shropham with Jane Frary winning 14-8, John Chapman winning 16-10, Keith Thomas winning 10-6 and John Hunter winning 15-7. This result moves Harling top of the table two points ahead of Hingham who have one match in hand over the new leaders.
