Defending I.C.C champions Norfolk visited Hertfordshire expecting a big win and so it proved to be as the home side struggled to gain a foothold in the match. Maximum points were gained in both the triples and fours as Norfolk piled on the pressure. Alfie Woods, Morgan Warnes & AJ Pye won their games by 20-7 & 20-6 while Gavin Gray, Simon Willies & Jason Woods won by 15-6 & 14-9. In the fours Kacy Suffolk, George Hume, David Lamb & Keith Cooke won by 15-3 & 14-9 while wins of 15-3 and 14-9 were gained by Karl Newby, Chloe Suffolk, Jon Sparham & Gary Best. Norfolk also collected the bonus points in both the singles and pairs disciplines. Ryan Fox won his games by 20-9 & 18-9 with Chris Mann winning his first game by 18-14 before going down by 9-15 in his second game. Debbie Sparham & Jack Pye collected wins of 25-10 & 11-9 in the pairs while Robin Amos & Chris Willies recovered from an 11-14 loss in their opening game to reel off a huge 23-3 win in their second game. The final score was 36-4 to Norfolk on points and 260 shots against 134 shots. Norfolkâs next match is away to Essex on the 1st November.
