Rob Cranston - Rest in Peace

The NCSMBA is devastated to learn of the death of Rob Cranston of County Council & Hempnall this afternoon in a tragic accident at his workplace. Local media reported that police were called to Briar Chemicals at about 3.10pm to reports of an explosion. Rob was a very talented bowler who played for both County Council and Hempnall and was a member of the successful Norfolk Premier team that won the ESMBA I.C.C Championship title in 2016. With his sons Lewis & Owen he won the Potters Cup in 2016 and then won the Potters Shield in 2017. Rob will be greatly missed by Norfolk short mat bowlers. The NCSMBA would like to express their heartfelt condolences to Claire and their boys Lewis & Owen. Funeral details will be posted at a later date.
