Connaught made life difficult for defending champions Hempnall in the South Norfolk League but their visitors were steered home to a 6-4 away win due to a solid 20-6 win by Colin Stevenson, Gerald Chilvers & Neil Davidson. Rob Cranston’s triple were also on form for Hempnall winning their game by 19-8. Young Jack Marshall skipped his Connaught triple to an 18-6 win in reply while Mike Minshull beat David Blundell’s triple 13-12 for the home sides other points. Hempnall did suffer a surprise 6-4 defeat away to Horsford Heroes where Chris Woodhouse won 21-8and Roger Frank won by 17-16. Rob Cranston & Roger Parker skipped their Hempnall triples to wins but failed to stop Horsford earning the bonus points due to a 60-55 shots advantage. Horsford also won 8-2 away to Diss with John Aggas winning 15-10, Roger Frank winning 13-11 and Chris Woodhouse winning by 14-12.
