Pamela Rush, Angela Bond & Neil Davidson spearheaded Carleton Rode’s offensive at Connaught “B” with a big 27-9 win against Mike Minshull’s triple and with Karl Newby winning 21-11, Graham Mobbs winning 17-10 and Trish Taylor winning 14-11 the Rode collected all ten points. Two nights later Connaught “B” fared better at home to an understrength Forncett team as they won 6-4. John Winup’s triple recorded a huge 46-5 win against Andrew Coleman whose triple played with one bowler short. Forncett’s Mike Smail, Jan Smail & Peter Lock racked up a 31-9 win against Jim Squires’ triple in another high scoring game. The continued improvement of Harling Griffins was evident as they defeated Connaught “A” 8-2. Iris Smith, George Hume & Michael Elflain will be pleased with a 19-17 win against Di Adcock, Sylvia Parsons & Bob Oatway. Colin Hayman’s triple beat Lee Fallows 19-13 and George Cody’s triple beat Owen Secker 22-17.
