Horsford Heroes, already confirmed as City of Norwich League champions, brought the City League season to a close with a 12-2 home win against First Bus. The result means that Thorpe Marriott are confirmed as runners-up with First Bus finishing in third position. Lyn Frank, Sue Fox & John Aggas got the home side off to a winning start beating David Sharpe’s triple 12-5 and second half wins for skips Chris Woodhouse and David Crosby made sure of the points. Lianne Mills was the sole winning First Bus skip on the night. The final table has been published with the points totals adjusted for Horsford Gold and Horsford Blue following the use of an unregistered player. Horsford Gold won 6-2 at Windows in the second leg of their City Shield semi-final to complete an aggregate 12-4 win and a place in the final against Horsford Heroes. Ray Ayres, Chris Walsgrove and Ray Ayres all won for Gold with Windows only win a 15-5 result for Mark Tuttle’s triple against Craig Quantock’s triple. The City League Pairs final will take place on Wednesday 8th April at Costessey, the City League Singles Final will be played at Thorpe Marriott on Friday 10th April and the City League Triples will be on Monday 13th April at First Bus. The City Shield Final will be played at Windows on Thursday 9th April.
