Halvergate have moved top of the Bure Cup table level on shots with Bob Carter but lead with a shot difference just three shots better than their title rivals. Hevingham were the visitors to Halvergate’s Upton Village Hall venue and gave them a hard match in the first half. Kerry Greenacre, Ray Lamb & Paul Baker of Halvergate got the home team off to a good start beating Jane James’ triple 18-7 but Jenny Walker, Teresa Goldsmith & Selwyn Goldsmith hit back for the visitors beating Robbie Lamb’s triple 17-10 to leave Halvergate just four shots up at the break. Both second half games were quite tight up to the halfway stage before both home triples cut loose near the end. Mike Tate, Steven Lamb & David Lamb won the last six ends against Richard Moore’s triple to win 17-4 while Donna Lamb, Matthew Mills & Ryan Fox scored twelve shots over the last five ends to beat Brian Turner’s triple 20-8. Its now all to play for with Halvergate and Bob Carter still to play each other home and away.
