Wymondham’s 100% record in the Breckland League is still intact but Harling put the league leaders under intense pressure drawing with them in three games and losing just one. In the first half Harling’s Barbara Smith, Jill Hayman & George Hume drew 13-13 against AJ Pye’s triple while Joy Neave, Loretta Smith & Colin Hayman drew 14-14 with Melvyn Barker, Jack Pye & Jack Marshall. Incredibly a third game was drawn in the second half as Linda Chilvers, Andrew Smith & Nigel Battley drew 15-15 against Chris Mann’s triple. It was left to Robin Frost, Jack Marshall & Jon Sparham to see Wymondham over the finishing line, and earn them a 7-3 points win, defeating Paul Rogers and his Harling triple by 23-13. Third placed Thetford won 8-2 at home to Carleton Rode as Jason Martin’s triple won 23-3, Chloe Suffolk’s triple won 19-12 and Kacy Suffolk’s triple won 18-13. Graham Mobbs’ triple collected the visitors only win by 18-7. Other results saw Hingham win 7-3 at home to Forncett in a match that produced four tight games. At the finish Hingham had scored 51 shots against Forncett’s 50 shots to earn the match points. Connaught “B” entertained Shropham and won by 7-3 on points with Peter Hambling, Annabelle Sopp & Joan Knox winning by 29-5.
