Norfolk beat Dorset in semi-finals

Defending Inter-County Championship champions Norfolk will face Cheshire in the final after beating Dorset 25-15 in the semi-finals at Solihull on Sunday. Norfolk’s singles players Ryan Fox and Chris Mann collected eight out of the ten points on offer in their discipline with Fox winning his games 15-6 and 15-10 while Mann won his first game 13-12. The points were shared in the pairs with Jack Marshall & Chris Willies both in great form winning their games by 12-8 & 21-16 while Jack Pye produced some superb woods to earn his pair an 11-11 draw in their opening game. The triples proved to be Norfolk’s trump card with eight points out of ten earned. Jack Gray, Morgan Warnes & AJ Pye drew their first game 10-10 against James Scoin’s triple before winning their second by 18-10. Gavin Gray, Simon Willies & Jason Woods also drew their opener 10-10 before winning their second game 14-8. In the fours Norfolk and Dorset won two games apiece with Karl Newby, Chloe Suffolk, David Lamb & Gary Best winning their first game by 11-8 and Kacy Suffolk, Simon Warnes, Selwyn Goldsmith & Keith Cooke winning their second game by 12-8. Kacy Suffolk of Thetford was in excellent form on the day consistently drawing touchers to pose questions for the opposition.
