Narrow lead for Harling in Five Pairs

Harling entertained Forncett for the first leg of their Breckland Five Pairs semi-final clash. It proved to be a close match on the night leaving Harling only taking a narrow two shot lead into the second leg. Harling won three of the five games with Jill Hayman & George Hume winning 10-8, Linda Chilvers & Nigel Battley winning 16-5 and Jean Deathridge & Paul Rogers winning 10-6. Forncett replied with a 12-3 win for Kevin Noble & Mark Watson and a 12-6 win for Martin Humphries & Becky Humphries that will give them confidence going into the second leg. A 10-0 home win for Thetford against Shropham moved them up to an impressive third place in the Breckland League table this week. Suzanne Kenny, Michael Holbrook & Jason Martin led the way with a 20-11 win. Chloe Suffolk’s triple won 17-11, Kacy Suffolk’s triple won by 14-11 and Chris West’s triple added a 14-11 win.
