South Norfolk League leaders Hempnall won 7-3 at Forncett in a tight match where only two shots separated the teams at the end. Forncett were well in charge in the first half with Linda Preece, Ron Butler & Mark Watson beating Paul Baker’s triple 21-10 while Tony Ottewell’s triple drew 12-12 with Keith Cooke’s triple. But after the break the visitors piled on the pressure and earned the match points with Colin Stevenson, Graham Mobbs & Charlie Archer beating Giuseppe Li Rocchi’s triple 17-6 and Jack Gray’s triple winning 16-14. Saxlingham entertained Connaught in a match that finished 5-5 on points and 47-47 on shots. Connaught started well with Bob Oatway’s triple winning 13-10 and Roy Taylor’s triple winning 18-7. After the break Saxlingham hit back with Robert Howlett’s triple winning 15-6 and Sheila Hook’s triple winning 15-10.
