Norfolk Player-Manager Jack Pye has named his team for their away match against Cambridgeshire in the Inter-County Championships. England internationals Gary Best and Morgan Warnes are unavailable for this game but Norfolk will still go into the match confident of another win in the I.C.C group that they have dominated. Cambs Manager Joe Peters will be keen to take something from the match following their 40-0 defeat at Hingham Sports Centre three weeks earlier when the Norfolk team was in blistering form. Norfolk will be on unfamiliar territory as the game will be played at Tydd St Giles Village Hall instead of Cambridgeshire’s normal home venue of March Indoor Bowls Club. With all three teams in I.C.C Group 4 having played three matches each, Norfolk top the group with 104 points, Northants are second on 58, West Mids Bears third on 42 points and Cambs fourth with 36 points. After the clash with Cambs the remaining two group games for Norfolk will be on the 11th January at home to West Mids Bears and on the 18th January away to Northamptonshire. Norfolk will be in action of course on the weekend of 6th & 7th December when, as current England Champions, they are at Shaws Bridge in Ireland representing England in the Top Team Championships against the champions of Ireland and Wales.
