The second day of play has begun in the Potters Pairs at Potter's Resort in Hopton-on-Sea with last years winners Marie Kitchener & Ivan Lunn of Derbyshire unbeaten after wins of 18-7, 15-6 & 21-4 on Tuesday in the Red Group. Norfolk’s George Hume & Suffolk’s Michael Rice have teamed up for the first time and won all of the four games they played yesterday to lead the Red Group with eight points although Kitchener & Lunn have a game in hand on them. Carol & Bob Taylor of Essex won three of their four games as did Harling’s Jill & Colin Hayman and the Red Group is looking incredibly competitive. The Blue Group is led by Andy Noble & Donna Mills of Suffolk who reeled off wins of 10-9, 18-11, 13-10 & 12-11 to earn eight points. Close behind them are Suffolk’s Cheryle Grabham & Bob Cousins with six points and +32 shots with North Yorkshire’s Paul Whitcombe & Arthur Jackson also with six points but a shot difference of just +4 shots.
