Huge weekend ahead for Norfolk County Teams

A huge weekend is ahead for Norfolk Premier and Norfolk “A” and their player-manager Jack Pye as they head to Solihull IBC to play their respective Inter-County Championship semi-final matches. Norfolk Premier take on Devon Premier and Norfolk “A” will face Hampshire “A” in two intriguing clashes. It would be a massive achievement for Norfolk if both their teams can reach the final and that will be the aim of Jack. He will be determined to become only the third Norfolk County Team Manager to achieve the ultimate prize in County bowls. Under the management of George Clarke Norfolk Premier won the I.C.C back in 1995/96. It was not until the season of 2015/16, under the management of Selwyn Goldsmith, that Norfolk Premier became I.C.C champions for the second time. Norfolk “A” have never won the main section of the “A” competition so it would be a marvellous achievement if they can finally bring that trophy back to Norfolk.
