Norfolk Over 60’s finished on a high to defeat Cambridgeshire Seniors at Hingham after leading throughout an entertaining match. The sides comprised of eight triples each all playing three games over six sessions. After two sessions Norfolk led by 11-5 and two drawn sessions followed leaving Norfolk still six points ahead with two sessions remaining. Norfolk won the penultimate session by 5-3 but finished on a high winning the final session 8-0. The final score was 32-16 to Norfolk on points, 234-180 on shots. Pat Hall of Hevingham, Lesley Turner of Taverham and George Hume of Harling were in excellent form and won their three games by 9-7, 11-7 and 19-6. Kerry Greenacre of Halvergate, Steve Easter of Wymondham and Jane James of Taverham were unbeaten with two wins and one draw. As always, when these sides meet, it was a super day of bowling with everyone enjoying themselves regardless of whether they won or lost.
