With no NCSMBA Summer League or old style knock-out Summer Cup being played this summer, as hardly any teams were interested, a one day triples competition was held instead at Thorpe Marriott with the Summer Cup presented to the winners. The final was a shoot out between two Halvergate triples as Kerry Greenacre, David Crosby & Ryan Fox played against Mike Tate, Steven Lamb & Steve Hall. Ryan Fox and his triple came out on top beating Steve Hall’s triple 6-4. Thorpe Marriott’s Sylvia Turner, Kath Frost & Tony Turner beat Carleton Rode’s Graham Atter, Graham Mobbs & Terry Newby 7-4 in the third place play-off. In the semi-finals Fox’s triple beat Turner’s triple 8-6 and Hall’s triple beat Newby’s triple 5-4.
