Norfolk “A” completed their I.C.C group games with a double fixture against Shropshire at a neutral venue in Bedfordshire. Although Shropshire came out on top in both games Norfolk did enough to finish top of their group on 141 points with Shropshire second on 139. The first match played was Norfolk’s official home match which saw Shropshire win by a tight margin of just 23-17. In the triples Norfolk’s Tony Ottewell, Jill Townsend & Melvin Woods won both their games while the four of Kacy Suffolk, Graham Mobbs, Terry Newby & Melvyn Barker won one game and drew one. Norfolk gained the bonus points in both the triples and fours but Shropshire dominated the singles and pairs. In the second match Norfolk started well but Shropshire hit back to win 26-14, Shropshire collected the bonus points in all four disciplines although Norfolk won two of the games in the singles, pairs and triples.
