What a weekend for Chris Willies as he, with Neil Davidson & Jack Pye, successfully defended the Norfolk County Triples championship title just one day after he did the same in the Norfolk County Fours. Ten triples entered the competition with two groups of five playing in the group stages. Neil Davidson of Hempnall, Jack Pye of Wymondham & Chris Willies of East Tuddenham won Group 2 with maximum points as did Keith Cooke, Ryan Fox & David Lamb of Halvergate in Group 1. In the final Willies’ triple beat Halvergate by 14-3 with the last scheduled end left unplayed. A great start saw them 6-0 up after three ends and by seven ends their lead had grown to 10-2 and there was no way back for Lamb’s triple.
