Connaught’s super start to the season was brought to an abrupt end on their own mats where visitors Horsford inflicted a 10-0 defeat on the home side. Chris Woodhouse skipped his triple to a 15-9 win against Owen Secker while Vic Webster’s triple beat Sheila Bragg 15-12. Connaught’s pairs were unable to stop Horsford taking maximum points as Christine Warnes and David Crosby beat D Quadling and Mike Minshull 13-12 and Carol and John Aggas beat Elaine and Bob Oatway 19-9. Connaught still remain top of the SNL but second placed Harling are just five points behind with a game in hand while Horsford are seven points behind but with two games in hand.
