It is with deep sorrow that Norfolk CSMBA has learned that Mike Boswell of Windows SMBC, formerly Anglian Windows, passed away this morning at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Mike was an extremely popular bowler and excelled for both his club side and the Norfolk Over 60’s Squad. For several years he played in the Norfolk County Squad where he served as Norfolk “A” captain as well as playing for both the Premier team and “A” team at various times. His passing will be received with great sadness throughout the Norfolk short mat bowls community where he worked so hard for his club side, arranging matches and teams etc, as well as being an ever present with the Norfolk Over 60’s at both squad days and matches. He was a runner-up in the Norfolk County Fours in 2012/13 and achieved success in various Potters Resort events. The NCSMBA wish to extend their sincere condolences to Diane and the family at this sad time.
