Bure League action saw Horsford Heroes and Woodbastwick meet in what was the final league match of the season for them both. Horsford Heroes made home advantage count winning by 7-3. Linda Chadwick, Carol Kemp & Vic Webster scored the nights biggest win of 24-9 while Roger Frank’s triple added a 10-9 win while Sue Fox drew 16-16 against Margaret Harman’s triple. Peter Jablonowski got the visitors only win of the match by 17-7. The result means that Woodbastwick will finish fourth in the table, one down on last season, leaving Hevingham to finish in third place which is an improvement of two places on last year’s table. The title race is still in full swing between East Tuddenham and Halvergate, who entertain Hevingham next Friday, with every point gained now vital to both teams.
