Ray Potter - Rest in Peace

The NCSMBA is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Ray Potter in the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital on Friday where he was admitted last week. Ray was a founder member of East Tuddenham SMBC in the early days of short mat bowls in Norfolk and also an original member of the Norfolk Over 60’s. Although he had been unable to play for quite some time he was still a familiar face at Hingham on Over 60’s days with his wife Geraldine. Together with Geraldine he regularly went on Norfolk Over 60’s weekends away and was also a regular at Potters Cup Weekends for many years. He would still do whatever he could to help including running the raffles at Over 60’s match days with Geraldine. Ray was a real character who was always ready with a story to tell and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The NCSMBA sends its sincere condolences to Geraldine and the family and all his friends at East Tuddenham and the Over 60’s. Pictured below is Ray on one of the Norfolk Over 60's trips away. Rest in Peace Ray.
