Halvergate drew first blood in the first clash of the season between the two big guns of the Bure League when they won 8-2 at home. Defending champions East Tuddenham edged a tight first half with Elaine Willies, Robert Howlett & Melvin Woods beating Simon Warnes’ triple 17-11 while Halvergate replied with a 14-12 win for Donna Lamb, Ryan Fox & David Lamb against Chrissie Turner, John Turner & Gary Best. In the second half though Halvergate took control with Ray Lamb, Jamie Forster & Keith Cooke beating Gillian Amos, Robin Amos & Simon Willies 20-9 and Nigel Willard, Jason Woods & Robbie Lamb winning by just one shot against Chris Mann’s triple.
