Are you over 60 and are a registered member of the NCSMBA/ESMBA? Then you will always be welcome to attend Norfolk Over 60’s Days at Hingham Sports Centre, Watton Road, Hingham, NR9 4HD organised by our NCSMBA Over 60’s Organiser Teresa Goldsmith. For just £5 you can enjoy three 9 end games of short mat bowls with teas/coffees/biscuits included. Just arrive at 9.30am ready for a 10am start and join in the fun that lasts until lunch. You can also stay on in the afternoon, if you wish, for another 15 end game which is included in the price. There is a break between the morning session and the afternoon game so if you are staying for the day you are advised to bring a packed lunch. If you are an unregistered bowler you are still more than welcome to attend but tell Teresa when you book on and she will arrange for you to register with the NCSMBA and ESMBA for a fee of £10 which lasts for 12 months and includes insurance cover and the advantages of being a registered bowler. Over 60’s short mat bowls days are held on Thursdays and the remaining dates for 2026 are 10th September, 24th September, 8th October, 22nd October, 29th October, 19th November, 3rd December, 17th December and the 31st December. If you are a lawn bowls player, and looking to bowl through the winter months, short mat bowls may be the answer as you will use your same bowls and bowling shoes that you wear for lawn bowls.
