The title race in the Breckland League saw defending champions Wymondham visit Connaught “A” where they finally shook off Connaught’s challenge to move eighteen points clear in the table with a game in hand over the second placed Attleborough based side. Wymondham won the top of the table clash by 10-0 on points and 72-32 on shots with the home side unable to contain their visitors. Val Vardy, Melvyn Barker & Jack Pye stormed to a 21-4 win while Jon Sparham’s triple won 18-11, Debbie Sparham’s triple won 16-7 and AJ Pye’s triple won by 17-10. Hingham also scored maximum points winning 10-0 at home to Shropham with Mike White’s triple winning 22-16. Harling won 8-2 at home to Carleton Rode with Linda Chilvers, George Cody & Nigel Battley winning 18-10. Thetford’s visit to Connaught “B” also ended in a 10-0 maximum win with Thetford scoring 88 shots against Connaught’s 25. Clive Eke, Peter Harvey & Kacy Suffolk won by 28-4 and Brian Jermy, Peter Scarborough & Chris West won by 28-5 while Chloe Suffolk’s triple won 16-7 and Jason Martin’s triple won 16-9.
