Norfolk produced another huge win defeating West Mids Bears 38-2 on points, 279-122 on shots, at Hingham on Sunday as they continue to dominate their Inter-County Championship group. The match also saw young Alfie Woods make his Norfolk debut in style leading for Morgan Warnes and AJ Pye in the triples, they romped to a 24-3 win in their opening game and followed that with an 11-7 win in their second. Norfolk’s other triple comprising of Karl Newby, Simon Willies & Jason Woods hammered their opposition triples by 30-4 and 26-5. Maximum points also came in both the pairs and fours disciplines. Debbie Sparham & Jack Pye won by 15-8 & 23-9 while Jack Marshall & Chris Willies won by 19-6 & 17-8 in the pairs. The four of Kacy Suffolk, Jack Gray, Simon Warnes & Keith Cooke won 14-6 & 11-10 while Robin Amos, Chloe Suffolk, David Lamb & Gary Best won by 11-7 & 17-7. Halvergate’s Ryan Fox put together wins of 19-8 & 17-12 in the singles while Wymondham’s Chris Mann came back from a 7-14 defeat in his opening game to win his second by 18-8. Next Sunday sees Norfolk travel for an away I.C.C match against a Northants side who have struggled for points against Norfolk in recent encounters.
