Thorpe Marriott moved to the top of the City League with a solid 12-2 home win against fellow contenders Windows. The night’s biggest win for the home side was a 15-4 result in favour of Jenny Walker, Mandy Marshall & Andy George against Anne Ferris-Jones, John Wade & Andy Drummee while Derek Sheldrake’s triple weighed in with an 11-9 win and Tony Turner’s triple added an 11-4 win. Horsford Blue celebrated their first win of the season which lifted them off the foot of the table. They won 11-3 at home to British Rail with Dave Atterbury, Tim Flack & Gary Matherson beating Leslie Webber’s triple 17-5. Jarrolds are now at the bottom of the table after losing 13-1 at home to First Bus, Lianne Mills starred for the visitors skipping her triple to a big 24-3 win. In the Coastal League Bradwell Dynamos are now 25 points ahead of second placed Woodbastwick Eagles after a 15-3 away win at Gorleston Links Red. Woodbastwick Eagles won 16-2 at home to Martham Mallards and have a game in hand over the leaders.
