POST OF NORFOLK COUNTY TEAM MANAGER

Any player affiliated with the Norfolk CSMBA who wishes to apply for the post of Norfolk County Team Manager should submit their application in writing to

Applications must be received by 7th February 2026.

The position is a two year post, which commences on 1st April 2026 and ends on 31st March 2028.

Interested parties are advised that they may be required to make themselves available for an interview by the N.C.S.M.B.A. Management Committee.

NORFOLK COUNTY TEAM MANAGER – JOB DESCRIPTION

1. To select the Norfolk County Squad (within the boundaries outlined in the Norfolk County Squad Selection Procedure set by the Management Committee) prior to the commencement of each winter season and issue squad list to the Norfolk Secretary and the Web Secretary in advance of the winter season.

2. To be ultimately responsible for the selection of the Norfolk County Team(s).

3. To ensure players selected for matches are aware of their selection and any travel arrangements for games.

4. To liaise with the E.S.M.B.A. Inter-County Competitions Secretary.

5. To liaise with the Norfolk Chairman to ensure that once the E.S.M.B.A. fixture lists are published all home venues are booked.

6. To ensure that result sheets and scorecards are available for County games and that they are correctly completed.

7. To liaise with opposing team’s point of contact concerning venues, meals and refreshments as well as any other matters relating to games.

8. To ensure squad members selected all receive a copy of the County Squad Code of Conduct.

9. To deal with any minor infringement of this code by any player and take appropriate action in conjunction with the Assistant Manager and County Captain. In the event of what the Manager decides is a serious breach of the code of conduct, the Manager will report the matter to the Management Committee of the Association for their consideration.

10. County Team match fees are to be reviewed and set by the Team Manager prior to each and every winter season. This fee will also apply to the annual Norfolk Squad Trials Day and any Pre-Season Day arranged by the Manager. The County Team Manager is responsible for ensuring that the County Team Fund is maintained to a level that can contribute to any possible extra expenditure such as Top Team participation.

11. To ensure that the NCSMBA County Secretary is informed of the Match Fees set prior to each winter season for the information of the NCSMBA Management Committee.

12. To appoint a County Captain and Vice Captain prior to each winter season and inform the NCSMBA County Secretary and the Web Secretary once this has been done.

13. To ensure that arrangements are made to ensure that the kitchen is open for teas/coffees etc for all home fixtures and that milk is brought to the venue on the day. To liaise with the Norfolk Over 60’s Organiser concerning other kitchen supplies which must be available for each match day.

14. To ensure that the home venue is secured after use in line with the requirements of the venue. To ensure that all NCSMBA equipment is stored away after use in their correct positions in the Store Room and that the equipment box is locked.

15. To liaise with the County Treasurer on County fund matters including banking, payments, receipts, etc. and to supply paperwork to County Treasurer as required as well as ensuring a raffle takes place at home games for fundraising purposes.

16. To supply result information to Web and Press Secretary promptly after each game as well as all team selections and details of forthcoming match details for inclusion on the Norfolk Web Site County Team pages.

17. To provide County Manager’s Reports for N.C.S.M.B.A. Committee Meetings and for the Norfolk A.G.M.

18. To ensure that the Competition Secretary is supplied with county squad invitations for presentation to County Champions at presentation ceremonies.

19. To liaise with the N.C.S.M.B.A. Management Committee regarding any entries in to the E.S.M.B.A. organized Inter-County Competitions
